Hello,
Hopefully someone could help. We have a DNS load balancer that runs BIND 9.6-ESV-R4-P1 in the background. Intermittently it seems to stop returning IP addresses for the requested A-Record (doing a tcpdump we can see the DNS request come in and the load balancer replying but without an...
Hello,
Does anyone know if there is a way to proxy/relay a LDAP bind request from a MS Server (Server1) to a domain controller (DC1) so that Server1 and DC1 do not have direct access between each other (Server1 -> LDAPProxy -> DC1 and return DC1 -> LDAPProxy -> Server1)?
Thanks,
Peter
Hello,
I'm being told that the following is impossible to fix but I dont like to believe anything is impossible and hoping that some clever person here can help out!
I have 3 network zones - LAN/SEMI/DMZ
I have 2 domains - domain1.com and domain2.com
All DCs for domain1.com sit inside the LAN...
Is there anything I can do without having to reconnect it all. I'm trying to wipe a decomissioned system thats currently sitting in a pile in a store room. I've little to no experience of the system and was hoping for a key combination for the i2002 to wipe them and something just as easy for...
We're running iBGP internally, the only reason I suggested the BGP peering was that we've been trying to keep it all dynamic as static routes have been the bain of our lives especially when failover to a VPN happens and stuff stops working. Hence the suggestion to have everything under BGP (i...
Hello,
Does anyone have any quick tips as to how to wipe all user data from a CS1000 and ideally a fast way to wipe end user data (i.e. TN / Name) from an i2002 & i2004 phone?
Cheers,
Peter
I was hoping to configure the IP SLA on the ISP router to track google.com, the next hope from the ISP router etc. I would then peer with the ISP router and have a route-map filtering only the 0.0.0.0 inbound and nothing outbound.
The internet connections are on two different sites / subnets...
Currently its just a static route no peering between or advertising of the route.
But yes I agree that is what happens if the ISP router goes down, but if the ISP has an outage a few hops away wouldnt the default route still be advertised (hence the IP SLA aspect)?
Security wise it was just...
Currently we have 2 sites that run iBGP internally and eBGP for all WAN connections.
Each site has one internet connection and has a default route to exit via the ISP router should there be no more specific route available.
I was hoping that I could have to 0.0.0.0 0.0.0.0 routes with...
Hello,
I was hoping someone has some advice on this. I was thinking of using IP SLA to advertise our default route via BGP to automate internet failover. However I have a few security concerns with peering with our ISP router.
I can use a route map to filter what gets advertised out/in but...
Hello,
Currently I am having this setting overriding settings I am putting in place at a directory level for Cache-Control:No-Cache

Thanks.
Hello,

Its from a Cisco 2921 Voicegateway, VG224 Analogue Gateway and CUCM 8.5 multiple clusters / gateways servicing about 500 users in 6 sites.
I know listing out the numbers used in CUCM is easy but it doesnt stop someone from allocating a number thats not on the CUCM such as analogue line or ISDN...
Hello,
What does everyone use for maintaining DDI blocks and the mapping against internal extensions etc? I've been trying to get away from spreadsheets and am yet to find anything. Anyone any ideas?
Pete
It was due to the load balancing algorithm that 1 out of the 3 links may see higher utilisation than the other 2, i.e. an uneven traffic allocation per physical link
I worked out what the problem was with this. Use the following to create AGG routes -
router aggregate
aggregate-address 10.222.0.0 20 protocol direct
exit
Hello,
Please can someone please clarify the following -
Can you have an odd number of ports in a port channel on a 3560G switch?
This document doesnt say anything about having an odd number on a 3560 but it does say the following for the high end 6500 Series -
"An EtherChannel can have an...
Hello,
Hopefully someone here will be able to assist? We are in the process of trying to get our Cisco 2921 voice gateway configured with BRI so that our Polycom HDX unit can make ISDN calls.
We know the HDX is working as we can make ISDN calls from our current PABX (Nortel Meridian) the...
Hello,
I'm hoping someone can help me with aggregating routes and with route-maps etc? Basically I am trying to aggregate the 10.222.0.0/20 (as its currently redistributing smaller /21 to /29s etc) network when advertised to the 10.218.2.33 (12344) peer and keep all the other routes as they...
Wrong forum? The question was regarding Microsoft Windows Server DHCP options.... (The Cisco stuff was purely background)
However I believe as the DHCP server sees the gateway address from the requesting client it automatically allocates the correct DHCP scope as this value is populated in the...
