I have had to run Teams Direct Routing lately and i have to say, those AudioCodes SBCs are very light from a resource perspective and very powerful. I recommend those outside of ASBCE. The media packs are also very easy to use for analog vs bringing an entire G450 for the cards on the Aura side.
Hello Everyone,
I was wanting to put a custom background on a J-179 that is running in OpenSIP mode. I currently got a J-Series device running OpenSIP and connected to Microsoft Teams via SIP Gateway in my lab. I was wondering if there was a way to put a custom background on it? I do see the...
Keep in mind that it needs to be on IP Office R11.1.2.3 or higher so if customer is on a older release, they would need to upgrade as well before connecting...
One of this big downsides I heard of ACO is you can not use 96xx phones with it, only J series. Majority of the clients I work with has 96xx and would have to replace. Before Avaya went bankrupt, at the end of quarters I heard they were giving away J series to push the deal but am not sure what...
From all the news reports from new CEO, Experience Platform is the "North Star" for the company and they want to focus on contact center and large enterprise.
If we don't get another major IP Office release, what is the plan moving forward for you all? Stay on old IP Office release, move to...
I agree with ipohead to look to see if any of the vendors have enough J-129s or if some 9600s are available since they are older (but EOS).
Do they all need hard phones, would they be find with 85% J139 and 15% softphones to lower cost?
No experience on the Zoom side but have been having many customers ask about Teams Direct Routing.
Are you guys looking at direct routing with Zoom or full in the cloud where Zoom is the carrier as well as the phone system?
I have not heard that they are only supporting VMware deployments. I do not see why they would not support Azure/AWS since many companies are going to IaaS model/public cloud.
They are trying to build their cloud on Azure so it would not make sense to not support IaaS models for Aura.
The issue with the IP office being a gateway is you have to update to latest release and based off the other thread (https://www.tek-tips.com/viewthread.cfm?qid=1818586), everyone is complaining about bugs with the new version. I have not upgraded any customers to the newest build nor have I...
You might be the only one. I wanted to do the same thing with a IP Office or a BCM but this one takes it next level. It is also very nice that you extracted all the files for others to download of those devices. Any other switches you were interested in getting your hands on?
I read your full post on your site and I have to say, this might be the most interesting post I have ever read on this website. Many of the SL-100/CS2100 were using in Universities, Hospitals, Large enterprise companies and Military bases (I am speaking from an Enterprise load standpoint and not...
We were discussing if IPO is going to EOS when the Ring Central partnership happened in 2019 and we were complaining then how buggy it was then.
I guess they just do not want to continue development/support IP Office and want everyone to go to Ring Central. IP Office is not EOS but with this...
