gbaughma, Thanks for your input! After a little more reading and research I realized all I had to do was expand out the size of my datastore. The datastore I wanted to use was set at 500GB (2TB HDD) so I expanded it out to 1000GB which gave me room for my new VM.

We're using cm/cmm Avaya Aura 5.2.1 I had to setup an external server to backup my data to, just as you thought. I setup a small Ubuntu server for this. I'm not a Linux person so it was a bit of a challenge to get it up and working.
