    Danger in high effective resolution?

Great - just wwanted to make sure. As I get to the end of a large project, I begin to worry about things I decided were ok early on. Thanks sooo very much for the reassurance!

    Danger in high effective resolution?

I just started to have a new fear... I am putting together a book with many pictures for a man who keeps changing his mind on the final size of his images. As a result, I've scanned all of his images to allow them to be used quite large. But some are ending up quite small in the final...

    Using Package for GoLive..?

Yes, I have GoLive and InDesign. 1. I've tried this, but result is a complete mess. The PDF shows a pretty simple grid design mixing images and text. The HTML file created from the PDF shows random parts of images all over the page and 90% of the text is missing. 2. My questions - how do...

    Using Package for GoLive..?

Hello - I'm looking for a quick way to make an HTML page from a indesign page. Seems like Package for GoLive should be the key, but I can't figure out how to access the XML files that are created in the package. I've tried looking for tutorial on using Package for GoLive and I read thru...

    Kern around a drop cap

Ahh...thanks carlow. Do you know if there is any way to accomplish what I'm after? Basically, to have the first line a different distance from the drop cap then the second line?

    Kern around a drop cap

Hello - I'm having trouble with something that seems like it should be so easy.... I have a document using 2-line drop caps at the beginning of paragraphs. In many cases, I'd like to be able to move the second line of text closer or farther from the drop cap. But I can't seem to figure it...

    Tint a Picture?

When I select the picture (using the open arrow), the Fill and Stroke boxes are set to none and all of the swatches are greyed out...so I can't select a color. Is there a way around that?

    Tint a Picture?

This technique had been working perfectly....but suddenly, the last time I printed...its no longer working. That is, the pictures are just coming through straight grayscale. it seems as though the tint only appears in the area of the pciture box that my picutre doesn't cover. Do you have any...

Open with a Spread (left page)?

Fabulous! Do you know...if I have the files set up in a book (that is automatically setting the page numbers) will it screw things up if I manually set the page number to start on? Thank you!

Open with a Spread (left page)?

    Tint a Picture?

Thank you! Its scary to work in a bubble - love to hear that I guessed right!

Open with a Spread (left page)?

The book will, of course, start with a right hand page. But - each of the chapters begin on a left-hand page. That doesn't seem that unusual to me - given that InDesign has the book feature which is supposed to allow you to break books into chapters, I'm really suprised there isn't some way to...

    Tint a Picture?

I'd like to have a series of black and white photos appear with a slight tint to blend with a background color used for facing pages. With a picture box selected (grayscale picture in place), if I place a spot color in the fill box at 10%....it appears to slightly tint the photo to that color...

Open with a Spread (left page)?

I'm in the process of laying out my first major multi-page document with InDesign. It will be a 150-page coffe-table book made up of about 20 chapters, with multiple cross-gutter pictures. I took a trip to Borders and have a couple of trusty InDesign help books whose advice I've been trying...
