    Thanks for the reply. I will try it again, but I swear Ive done this before and the setting didn't stay put, unless I was doing it wrong. I'll give it another shot. Too be continued.......... ps I think I hate XP!

    Your ISP should be able to answer this. I think you need to download a new copy of your ISP connection files. Go to your ISP, Netzero, MSN, etc. Click on download new copy of Setup files. I hope this helps.
