The extension does exist on the 1232 and so I installed it as an XDP. However, upon doing such, the other extension related to it rings and not the XDP.

I found the right jack and was able to get a connection through the rs 232 port! Now reseting and entering info will be much easier! btw, the new voice mail system works great!
