Here you go: it's not a very nice script and could be made far more intelligent but I'm not a programmer :-)

I would like to hide or show tables according to a value of a drop down box. I was able to do this using javascript but when I tried to do this in a page full of vbscript code part of a database application made by Dreamweaver, the script didn't work anymore.

This is how I did the upgrade:
-Take a decent PC and install it as BDC using NT4
-Promote it to PDC
-upgrade this to Windows 2003 interim mode
-reinstall the old NT4 servers with Windows 2003 and promote them to DCs
-then transfer the FSMO rules from the first server to one of the others and...
OK, I noticed that terminal server wasn't operating in administrator mode and so the license had expired. This caused the server to time out on almost every service it had to start. Once I rebooted in fail safe mode and removed the terminal server, the problem was much less. Now the waiting was...

One of our 2003 DCs suddelnly hangs on the "applying computer settings" screen. File sharing works OK but that's about it. Even the event viewer service hasn't started. Nothing has been changed.
Any ideas?

Hi Gary
Using NT security is a good way to go. You must make sure that all users have a user account on the server. Make sure to renamen the administrator account as it will be vunerable for attacks.

Hi Steve
IIS uses a metabase to store its settings in. It's just like the registry but on it's own. In the Resource kit there's a metabase editor. It looks like one of the entries in the metabase is corrupt or missing

Hi
This looks indeed like a problem on the clients PC's who gets the three field login screen. Also you don't need to get in that far with security, just setting the appropiate NTFS settings of the directory you want to secure is enough.
