I have made it a shared workbook, but the problem of saving was occuring if only one person had the workbook open, and they had previously been able to save changes

Thanks, I know that would work, but the tarrif table if many column and rows and would take a lot of work to re format...or is there a way Access can do this???

I have an xl spreadsheet that is accessed and updated by many users. The problem is that occasionaly, it will not allow changes to be saved. It will allow the sheet to be saved with a new name and will continue again for a few weeks till the problem occurs again.

is it possible to make a query that will select the value based on weight, and delivery area ?

When using the message boxes in Access, is it possible to disable the "Access" caption on the top of the box? If not is it possible to create a pop up form that is always the same size (ie it would not appear maximized and fill the whole screen)
