But all you have to do it troubleshoot don't you? It seems to me that two people on this know what they are doing and talking about. They don't answer questions in order to see themselves on this board, but to help those that need it...merlinman and TouchToneTommy--thanks guys! The rest...
Exactly...I am not trying to be ungrateful for assistance, but that post said exactly that...troubleshoot the problem. So besides troubleshooting the problem what steps would anyone suggest.
Thank you for your post franke, but that isn't much help for this. You should just have typed troubleshoot the problem and left it at that because that is all that post means to me.
On our second trunk an incoming call rings twice then they get a busy signal. If the night service is on this does not happen. The busy signal is coming from the Merlin System. Any suggestions
I am probably going to be pummeled after my 48 thread post on remote forwarding, but am going to ask one final question on this merlin legend system and then I promise I will stop.
Can a person call into the system from a remote location (outside line)and turn on/off the remote call forwarding...
IT WORKS! So when I went back in to the pool I deleted all 80X's then re-added. It works?! If anyone ever needs to setup this service I hope they read this tread...certainly a lot of expert advice!
This is what I think the problem is after playing more with this: When I dial 9 on this phone some times I get a busy signal after completing the number. We have open lines so that should not be a problem. Could it be picking up a port that it shouldn't? How do I check to make sure the 9 is...
AH HA!
I just set the forward number using the trunk instead of the pool. So I forward to 802920787xxxx#. Everyway you try it it works! GREAT! What does this mean? What is wrong with my pool access 9?
I have removed the Ext out of the group coverage for vm and now it simply rings on a transfer of any type; aa or ext transfer of an outside call. If I dial the ext direct from another ext the call is forwarded to the outside line. Option 2 above will not work for us even for testing purposes...
I still want that ext. to have VM coverage during the day and certain nights. I am not sure how to check on the ARS FRL; could you provide directions? The others I have checked over and over and over again! So perhaps its in the Facility Rest. Level.
First let me say thanks for not giving up on this!
If I understand what you want us to double check it is the trunk to trunk trans on the mail ports; which we currently have trunk to trunk set right now. In fact we have set all ext. with trunk to trunk right now.
If you want me to look at...
I forward ext 11 to Feature 33 91920410XXXX#
I call in from an outside line press 1 from the aa, it rings 4 times at Ext 11, the outside caller hears transfering call...the operator station rings.
On Ext 11 I see Ext 42 Trans Outside Trk801
When it rings at the operator I see Return Ext 42...
I was incorrect as far as the pickup and voicemail goes from my last post. I do get merlin mail, but it is the operators voicemail message (my voice is on that one also). So at this point when you change the COS to 20 it rings 4 x's at Ext 11 then I get the operators vm. If I totally delete...
Yes it was Merlin Mail and that is not all. I deleted the ext's mailbox (Ext 11 in this case). Why? Because when I went in to change the COS from 10 to 20 for Ext 11, it said I had to delete the mailbox first. So I did this then re-created it with a COS of 20. When I called it from an...
I found that COS in this stands for Class of Service so I changed the mailbox to a Class of Service 20. First I had to delete the mailbox which had a class of service of 10, then re created it. Same result.
