Outside call rings twice then Busy

On our second trunk an incoming call rings twice then they get a busy signal. If the night service is on this does not happen. The busy signal is coming from the Merlin System. Any suggestions
 
If it works okay in nights, then it can't be a bad port, so I'd start looking at the software, like where it's going, ringing, terminating, etc. during days.

Thank you for your post franke, but that isn't much help for this. You should just have typed troubleshoot the problem and left it at that because that is all that post means to me.
 
Exactly...I am not trying to be ungrateful for assistance, but that post said exactly that...troubleshoot the problem. So besides troubleshooting the problem what steps would anyone suggest.
 
Call an Avaya business partner and pay them to fix it.
 
But all you have to do it troubleshoot don't you? It seems to me that two people on this know what they are doing and talking about. They don't answer questions in order to see themselves on this board, but to help those that need it...merlinman and TouchToneTommy--thanks guys! The rest should just stay off if they can't answer a question better than "troubleshoot your problem".

FLAME AWAY FROM THIS POINT ON...I will not be watching but I am sure somebody will enjoy you two ranting.
 
Um, the first post left for you gave you an avenue to start on. AND, it is exactly correct. Have you put a but-set on the line and disconnect internal wiring? If you have done all of that, then you should have indicated so. We need more information. What have you tested for, etc.
