I have tried to get the Remote call forward to work but have no luck. When I dial the ext. from an internal ext it works great. When I dial in from an outside line and press the option that transfers to that ext I get voicemail. I have trunk to trunk trans on, rel. disconnect endabled. Any suggestions?

I have removed the Ext out of the group coverage for vm and now it simply rings on a transfer of any type; aa or ext transfer of an outside call. If I dial the ext direct from another ext the call is forwarded to the outside line. Option 2 above will not work for us even for testing purposes. Every line in the building is crucial, more so than this forward issue. So I have done what TTTommy suggested and removed the ext from the coverage group, now it just rings.

I fear I am going to have everyone ignore this thread soon...

AH HA!

I just set the forward number using the trunk instead of the pool. So I forward to 802920787xxxx#. Everyway you try it it works! GREAT! What does this mean? What is wrong with my pool access 9?

Hmmmmm,

Seems to be a mistery for sure.

It could point back to having access to that pool, or incorrect FRL, which we all know you checked.

Look under extensions Dial Code and see if it has permission for that pool.

Of course, even to me that doesn't make a lot if sense, but let's just see.

That looks fine, if that was incorrect I should not be able to dial 9, outsidenumber by just picking up the phone correct? I can.

If I was going to try to solve this mistery, I would use my old trick of doing a print all and seeing if a clue would pop out at me.

I am just at a loss to explain what is happening without further info.

You might look at a print all and see.

This is what I think the problem is after playing more with this: When I dial 9 on this phone some times I get a busy signal after completing the number. We have open lines so that should not be a problem. Could it be picking up a port that it shouldn't? How do I check to make sure the 9 is accessing the correct trunk pool? Do you think I am on the right track?

Quite a good possiblilty.

Verify what lines are in the Pool. (Assuming the 70 Pool)

Sys Prog > exit > lines-trunks > Pools > 70 (See what lights up.

THEN you can test each line with the not so secret code that's been published here. (No, I will not tell you, but I now you can find it.)

IF you get one that fails to give dial tone, TAKE IT OUT OF THE POOL.

They are all okay. I wish it was that simple. I even took all but two trunks away leaving 801 and 802 in pool 70. Should I just surrender?

IT WORKS! So when I went back in to the pool I deleted all 80X's then re-added. It works?! If anyone ever needs to setup this service I hope they read this tread...certainly a lot of expert advice!
