What is the best way to automate a computer shutdown at let's say 5AM in the morning. A way in which it ensures the computer shuts down and is not stopped by a "You didn't save, are you sure you want to exit" message box?

I don't know why, it gets stuck in a light blue screen and doesn't shut down anymore, even if i try to restart it and shut it down again. I can no longer turn of this machine by going to start and shutdown. Does anyone have a clue on what could be causing this?
