Having a problem with a Client Agent.
Multiple servers are backing up via Client Agents to a central ARCserve server. In addition one server also has Exchange Agent, another SQL Agent and another Open File Agent.
Everything is backing up fine, except the one server that has the combo of Client...
Have seen this error code when restoring data onto a file server.
Solution was as follows:
Change registry setting to resolve:
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\ComputerAssociates\BrightStor ARCserve Backup\Base\Task\Restore.
Set "UseAsyncIO" value to 0 instead of 1.

It's worth checking your normal anti-virus software is not scanning your exchange directories. This scanning is done in two ways:
1 - Real time scanning
2 - Scheduled scans
Ensure the following directories are excluded from both of these scan types:
Exchange directories... MDBDATA, MTADATA...
