I'm having trouble getting my phones to restore from backup since I moved from Apache to MV_IPTel. I Have all phones backup to a central server which in turn is backed up off-site. Here is the 46xxsettings.txt file info:
SET BRURI http://10.38.101.71/backup/
SET BRAUTH 0
Here is what you see...
Evidently the user override settings were disabled in the settings file... so we cannot get to the reset menu. We will need to setup a TFTP server at the IP address the phone is looking for so we can load a new settings file so we can override this.
Thanks to those who responded with suggestions.
Sorry, should have mentioned that I tried that... when it restarts, I get character mode showing that it is loading the "A" bin file, then it goes to graphical mode and shows it is attempting to reach an HTTP Server, then defaults to TFTP server then goes to xtension and password screen. There...
We have a 4625 that is running firmware 2.7. It was hard coded to go to a desktop running a tftp server so we could test this particular version of firmware. We have since decided to upgrade to 2.8 but cannot get this phone to reset and use the DHCP settings to go to the production TFTP server...
For anyone else who might be experiencing this problem, I located the cause. the macro action just prior to the "Quit" action was a "Close". Because I didn't specify what to close, the close acted on the macro and closed it... therefore, it never got to the "QUIT" action.
I have an access application that I want to execute via a scheduler. I can get the application to open and run but cannot seem to get access (application) to close so control returns to the batch file. I'm using the "quit" action with the "exit" option in the macro screen. Any suggestions?
Thanks for the assistance. Just wanted to post the resolution to this issue...
The company that I ordered the VM Pro from has never had a situation where they didn't do the install. Their technicians know that they need to redeem the certificate for a license key. That information never got...
I purchased the VM Pro from a different vendor than I used for the IP Office. I've since found out the vendor I used for the IP Office never registered the system with Avaya... now the second vendor cannot register the VM Pro until I get the first one to get a sold to number for the IP Office...
Only have VM Pro license... Do I have to install the entire admin package on another pc to get the license key server installed or can I just install the license key server?
I did download the test for the dongle and it passed.
Ran the trace and the two devices seem to be speaking to one another.
VM Pro is 2.1(5)
any other suggestions?
During upgrade of IPO 403 (from 2.0 to 2.1), the license key seems to have stopped working and I cannot get the license key server to provide the key again so I can paste it into IPO. I don't have a backup of the IPO system that contains the key and I unfortunately didn't paste the encrypted...
I'm a new IPO admin... I'm trying to setup the main hunt group (200) to have two extensions. I want all incoming calls to ring on the first exten, then second exten if not answered by the first... then go to voice mail of the first extension if the second doesn't answer. I can get the call to...
I just ordered and installed VMPro 2.1, I was instructed to upgrade IPO 403 to 2.1x first which i did (uninstalled existing version then installed 2.1.15). I'm having trouble getting the processor configuration to let me select VMPro... keeps reverting to VM Basic. What am I doing wrong?
