you first can try to send this message to a domain that you abolutely sure that it usually delivers a bouceback message, at least with that you would know if its a problem with this particular system.

yes i remember this option well in the standard outlook express. i dont think i ever saw it in outlokk 2003 though. you might wanna try to use Insert - Web component if its enabled

it definately has something to do with the font setting, i believe there might be a template file of the email structure - not 100% sure though

i think this could either be outlook default behaviour as to not send autoresponder messages everytime, or some sort of software bug maybe?

For normal home users, the only approach i see possible is to use the default archive options in outlook itself.
