I'd check your permissions and maybe even test with a domain admin account to see if it's getting hung on requesting a file or something silly.
Is your backup a dedicated server, or does it hold other roles? Are you backing up to a san, usb device, local server, or tape?
Just being lazy here, but on 5.1 when viewing the Activity log I pull up the "Filter" tab, and it automatically has the cursor in the last field used..
In 6.5 I have to click into the Policy box, or job state, or whatever... it doesn't automatically go into the box.
May not be do-able but is...
nevermind, software degration caused it throw a random port out there. I need to tell teh software to use specfic ports, and then open those..

My firewall is blocking the service Netbackup_vnetd. It's traffic coming from the server to the machine with the GUI installed.
The service is showing blocked on ports: 35160,35411,35415
My question is, does this service use these 3 ports statically? As in it always uses...
In the GUI, I go to the monitoring tab and I select a job under the "groups" tab. I right-Click and show details. It just gives a list of successful save sets. Anyway to get this to show all the Tape Volumes that were Used?

IIRC older versions of Legato wouldn't allow me to copy media list by just selecting and hitting CTRL+C.. in 7.4 I am able to do so.
Also I think our older version servers here auto ping the box or something, so if you have the media listing all sorted out and pulled up it will auto refresh and...
Should clarify, and I couldn't find the thread edit button. This would be workstation side, not server side. I'm wanting to login to different servers via 1 computer to eliminate the need for remote login boxes to monitor job status, and so on. Just to make things more efficent.
