    OK. Got the sound card and LAN card working. I had to disable PnP OS in BIOS. That leaves the modem. I think its a hardware modem. Its ISA, on com3. US Robotics 56k Voice INT PnP. Any pointers on how to install this in linux would be great, since it doesn't seem to have been detected...

    I've tried reinstalling the drivers, and it tells me the card is working fine...but client for ms networks still won't stick around. I reinstalled windows 98se pretty recently, so I'm not really sure what it could be. -Peter
