System has been PRI all along. I installed it about 3 yrs. ago. Client is only switching to another carrier.
T-Berd? Sure...I always carry around a $5k ~ $10k piece of equipment that I'll never use...
Yes, confused is the correct term. As I mentioned, this is a low-budget carrier and they are asking me to do the site-survey for the new T1 install (I don't believe they have a technical staff). So, they send me this long, detailed check-form that I have no clue about (WTF is "glare"?!?). I told...
No try is no choice for ISDN-PRI the signaling is done through the DCH"
Huh?
There are signaling settings in the MICS that must be matched to the settings of the carrier. That's all I'm trying to figure out. The carrier needs to know from me what settings I need so that my MICS works on the...
It definitely will be a PRI. That's what the client ordered. The choices are from the carrier's pre-inspection form (which I've never had to fill out before). As you are aware, most "low-price" carriers/resellers are idiots.
So...E&M Wink Start would be the correct choice?
The service (voice) carrier is asking me for signaling information on upcoming cut-over. My choices are: Loop Start, Ground Start, Wink Start or E&M Wink Start
I guess I should know this, but never have been asked. What type of signaling is required for an MICS with T1/PRI?
Loop Start, Ground Start, Wink Start or E&M Wink Start...
???
I'm in FLA where nothing is cheap. The installer who got the job is charging $80+/hr. and claiming it can be completed in 6 hrs.
The client is an attorney. Hell, I paid a real estate attorney $285 for a 5 minute conversation that could've taken place over a cup of coffee.
As mentioned...
$1500 is what I quoted originally (2 techs @ 85/hr. + supplies/hardware). I'm looking forward to a call from the client after this knob-job "F's" it up.
I estimated 2 days @ 8 hrs. (16 total - 2 techs), but some yabo under-cut me and said it could be done in 6. I honestly can't believe this is accurate.
Just wondering how long it takes y'all to install/program/train on the following system:
MICS w/T1 & PRI
21 sets (incl. KIM module for reception)
CallPilot 150 with 28 mailboxes
3 ATA adapters
By "install", I mean take out of the box, screw to the wall, cross-connect all sets/ATA's and program...
Yes...after I left the site last night I started thinking about polarity. That has fixed problems for me in the past (mainly voicemail not answering). I'll give it a go.
Thank you,

I recently installed a new CICS (7.0?) with a re-furb CID card (the early type card that sticks out from the case).
I programmed all the settings in the system for CID...no workie.
I called the carrier and they insisted CID was activiated on the lines.
Using a 66 block adapter on L-1 (P201)...
This is 7.0 w/PRI.
I'll check the buttons, but this has only started happening after I upgraded to 7.0/PRI. Same phones, same MICS, different software (and T1 card)...
