CCM / Unity - Call In from External without hitting * (star)?

Thank you whykap, this is EXACTLY what I was looking for. Setup the DID in CallMgr, associated it to a box that goes straight to VM which is a call handler that dumps to the sign in. Works great, thanks again!

CCM / Unity - Call In from External without hitting * (star)?

Sorry just saw your post, and I can't evidently edit my last post. What services do you think I would have to restart to get it to work? It's now "working" but it's basically exactly the same as it was before - I still have to hit star to get to my extension when I dial 10-digit.

CCM / Unity - Call In from External without hitting * (star)?

Ok, rebuilt it and I think I was dialing wrong. However, it doesn't seem to do anything at all - I added the route point, and set it to call forward all to voicemail. Still no dice... I can kinda follow the logic here, the route point basically makes the system think it's an internal call (I...

CCM / Unity - Call In from External without hitting * (star)?

Hrm, I just tried setting this up and it broke external VM. I'm not sure how to set this up exactly, as it seems to me like it would just create a loop... We already have a DN/DID associated to VM. What does this CTI router point achieve over using just the DID that's associated to VM...

CCM / Unity - Call In from External without hitting * (star)?

We've done what you mention, but if it's off-network Unity assumes that it's just a "customer" calling in, and therefore they are not treated as if they are employees checking voicemail. In our old system we had to have two extensions, one for regular voicemail and one we called "express...

CCM / Unity - Call In from External without hitting * (star)?

I had to do a little bit of digging, but that's probably because your suggestion is for a different version of Unity. I wasn't clear on my version, and I apologize - I'm on Unity Connection 7.1.3. I did find the entry under User Search Parameters in the "Enterprise Parameters" section. I set...

CCM / Unity - Call In from External without hitting * (star)?

Here's the issue. Our old phone system had a special DID that you could call into, and it would take you straight to the mailbox entry section basically. So you would dial the full 10-digit number from your cell phone, and then simply put in your 4-digit extension, then your PIN and you were...

    NTP Time Sync

Ah, yes I think I read that somewhere... I didn't know how to check what release I was on but found it in a thread. Looks like... RELEASE 4 VERSION 3021 Damn. Thanks for the info!

    NTP Time Sync

Hello. I found a great thread on how to set this up - thread798-1526704. However, I get an error on the first step. I go to ld 117, and when I put in "prt ntp", it comes back with SCH0099 NTP? - I remember reading I may need some patch, how can I check if I'm running the correct version? I...

    81c & Unity Connection

So we have an old 81c that controls our Nortel queue phones. We also purchased a new Cisco Unity Connection voicemail system. Most of the voicemail boxes are tied to Cisco IP phones, but about 50 or so of the boxes are tied to the Nortel/ContactCenter queue phones. All of the Nortel phones...

Single Number Reach - In Reverse?

Could you explain how to setup the application dial rule? I looked thru the documentation, I'm just not sure how it applies to inbound. Thanks!

    Single Number Reach Ringing

You may have already done this... but... a) Put the Delay Before Ringing Timer at 0. b) Answer Too Late Timer - try ridiculous numbers with this. Then just work your way back until you can get it to pull back from the cell phone's voicemail. The problem with having that timer too long is UCM...

Single Number Reach - In Reverse?

Well, we use RDP already. Problem is, we would have to create two for every single device - we use 9 to get an outside line, so for the RDP to redirect calls to outside lines properly we have to put a 9 in front of the 10-digit phone number as the remote destination. Now for inbound...

Single Number Reach - In Reverse?

whykap, I did speak to her about your method, which she was aware of. She's talking about making a change to the dial plan that would allow it. We are considering adding a mobility server, but currently we do not have one. I was also hoping to solve the problem with home phone lines -...

Single Number Reach - In Reverse?

Ha, I just realized what your suggestion did! Now when I call my cell number (without the 9 for an outside line) it redirects me to my 4-digit extension... I want the other direction. I want my cell phone number to appear as my 4-digit extension when I'm calling into our network from...

Single Number Reach - In Reverse?

Interesting... The feature you speak of is definitely different from what my boss was alluding to. She made it sound like a translation pattern, route pattern, one of these setup in the correct manner could translate a cell phone number of an individual to their desk phone number. We do not...

Single Number Reach - In Reverse?

So my boss has setup SNR on her desk & mobile phone, so when someone dials her 4-digit extension in UCM, it rings her mobile as well. Great! Now she wants it in reverse as well. So when she's calling from her cell phone, she wants it to appear as if she's calling from her 4-digit extension...
