Yes i have. However, no matter how i set the jumper it doesn't show. I have read that there is a bad Cirrus Logic chip on the PCB. is there a way to bypass the chip, and debbug the chip?

Try checking the jumper setting there is a setting that limits the capacity of the drive. If that isn't the case it may just be the motherboard not supporting that large of a drive. If that is the case try buying a promis card, the promise card should see the entire drive.

I was afraid I was hosting some gremlins..I'll be checking out thoes sites this evening. At least I'll have some idea why some of this stuff happens.

I have noticed thru Process viewer there are several multiple processes running.
4 -> svchost.exe
3 -> 2 like ->RUNDLL32.exe, 1 like RUNDLL32.EXE
3 -> 2 like ->fast.exe, 1 like Fast.exe
2 -> iexplorer.exe
Why the mixed case?. there is only 1 version in c:\windows]system... Why...
