So, with 12.1 SE being totally borked on the networking side, I reinstalled 11.1 on the server. No issues.

On the Expansion Control Unit however.... The unit is stuck on 12.1.

The Ip500 working fine on 12.1 but I wanted it to match the Server. So I formatted an 11.1 card...

Inserted a 11.1 SD card.... and solid red on all the cards. I formatted a 12.0 SD Card booted up the CU with just a single phone 8 and... blinks then solid red lights.

I grabbed a different CU and put 11.1 on it for the customer, but now I am stuck with a CU that only boots with a 12.1 card inserted. Great.

No matter what combo of cards or using an 11.1 or 12.0 SD card I cannot get the system to boot and respond to ping yet putting a 12.1 card works fine.

This is a IP500 V2A 700514867 with compatible Phone 8 and VCM cards.

did you tried to reset the control unit from the small reset bin from the back of the CU for 30 to 45 seconds and wait 30 mins then shut down the CU from the power Cable and format the SD card by Manager App then re-create it again with the Manager App wait until success message appears and load it back to the CU and wait 30 to 45 mins
to load the frimware.

I think your cards firmware were upgraded too, so now they can't be managed but the old rls11 version! You have a card/firmware matrix per realse compatibility to be checked..

No, I tried with different cards, all compatible with 11 and 12. I gave up and even tried a Phone 8 which is one of the only cards that works on every single version.

I don't think you can do it that way.
You need to have 11.1 BIN files on your computer in a folder. Get the IPO booted up and working with the 12.1 card in there and connect to it with Manager.
Go to File > Preferences and the Directories tab. Set the BIN files directory to the folder where you have the 11.1 bin files.
Then go like you're doing an upgrade, but it will really be a downgrade.
File > Advanced > Upgrade and when it comes up you should see 11.1 in the available column. Do the "upgrade".
