Can someone recommend a utility to break a password on an Outlook archive folder?
My client is using Outlook 2003 and does not know the password he used when he created the archive file.
I can no longer get to the information in the folder without the password.
At one time I read this too(before chrislg987 posted it), that’s why I have questions.

Here’s a little tidbit that most people don’t know: all the icons, files and programs stored on your desktop are loaded into memory via your windows ‘user profile’. A messy...
Another place that I worked had roaming profiles, and if the end users had too much information in their desktop they couldn’t log off the network until they moved the files out of there. I think they had a 25 mb limit. The comment about network performace makes a lot of sense to me now.

Does a large number files on the desktop: hinder performance?
Our client base is using Dell PCs with 2 gigs of RAM. We have the pagefile set at a custom size of 2048/4096.
I have been warning people that the desktop is not a good place to keep documents, and recommending that they keep the...
Thanks for the VB Script info.
I had a question about where to creat a doamin logon script. Is that done solely through Active Directort or can it be done using an MMC?
I have an interview coming up and I will be asked about my experience with writing scripts and batch files. I have limited experience writing simple batch files (in MS-DOS), and have only read about some of the scripts used to install images.
Can somebody offer some help about how I can answer...
Mintjulip, thats a thought. I may have had Word running at the time. I should have mentioned I also had another PC on my (DSL) network running Outlook, but that PC's Outlook was set to "keep Messages on server"
The next time this mhappens I'll check to see what processes are running.
I still...
Wolluf,
I'd agree with you there.
Microsoft would have invented a tool for re-sizing partitions if they thought it would work 100%
As a tech, I've seen too much go wrong with the integrity of a hard disk, under normal usage, ao I wouldn't mess with a third party partioning tool, unless I had a...
I ran some tests and it’s not doing it now.
A fellow tech suggested that I check to see if Outlook was running in the background. It wasn’t running minimized at the time this was happening.
I think it may have been a temporary server issue. A few days ago I was getting two copies of every...
My messages seem to be downloading into my local mailbox automatically. I am using Outlook 2000 and XP.
Normally this happens when the Outlook program is running, but now I get the small "envelope" notification in the task bar that tells me new messahes have arrived. I can't look at my...
That’s a good idea. Can that be done in Windows (XP), or do you need a third party utility like Partition Magic?
Anyway, I managed to make a new boot CD following (carefully) the instructions from the website that I listed above. This was my first experience with “Image Buster” to extract...
Thanks!
I'll try to find the info you mentioned.
Just at a glance, that site you mentioned looks like they want to buy something.
Is there a tread on this forum that explains this process? Can I make the Boot CD on another PC running XP SP2?
I’m still having problems installing Windows XP my 320 gig SATA drive. I’m using a new motherboard, and trying to install an early version of XP, by booting the CD. Is there a size restriction in XP, because when I boot the XP CD to install the OS it comes up with a 131 gig drive?
As I...
Success!
The IDE booted with the SATA powered up. It stayed at IDE channel 0 while the SATA took channel 1 (master)
I deleted the partition on the SATA and it looks like I will get full capacity.
The boot order in the BIOS still only said "hard disk"
