Westi and Telecomboy: Thank you very much!! It worked! I guess the "conference together" button on the phone doesn't emulate *47, but when I dialed it manually, it worked.
Greetings,
Sorry if I made it a little more confusing that it should have been. The DECT base station that the B169 phone syncs to, is connection to an analog extension off of a ANALOG POTS8V2 expansion unit. The 406 has (1) PRI for inbound/outbound calls.
Now I'm beginning to wonder if I...
ok, this may seem like a silly question. Can you make a conference call on an analog line on an IP Office 406 system running 5.0(18)? We have an Avaya B169 conference phone (with DECT 1.2 base station) that is in place and works fine on the analog line. For some reason, I have always thought...
jml2665,
Yes, thats the same document. Hearing about the voice quality is another item I was looking for. Since this would be all our incoming and outgoing calls, voice quality problems cannot happen (well, you know what I mean).
We are currently investigating ways to utilize VOIP to help cut down
on our infrastructure costs. A local service provider has proposed a
"soon to be announced" solution where they will provide multiple SIP T1
trunks for us to route our Internet and voice traffic to them using
VOIP. Basically...
Well, the sound card didn't resolve the problem but at least we can select ScanSoft jennifer from the administrator login on the console.
Now I am beginning to wonder if there is an incompatibility issue with Windows 2003 Server (SAPI 5.1) and if the Avaya TTS (scansoft) is using SAPI 4.0.
Greetings Peter,
Thats the problem. When I go into Control Panel -> Speech -> Text to Speech TAB, Windows puts up a popup stating that the selected voice cannot be intialized and to select a differnet Audio Output device. With this being a server, there is no sound cards, etc. This happens...
IP Office 3.0(59) on a 412 with VMPro 3.0(17)
We have installed the Avaya Text To Speech option and license, which appears to be ScanSoft's Realspeak. The problem is, we don't believe its actually working. The TTS voice is bad (very robotic), and when you go into Control Panel on the server...
Well, just an update. I replaced the SPEAK TEXT event with a generic event using the $DBD[0] in place of the wave file and its worked every time so far.
Running Voicemail Pro 3.0(17), IP office 3.0(59) on a 412.
We have setup a module that will connect to a database and lookup up a tracking number using an order number entered by the user. The tracking number returned, stored in $DBD[0], is suppose to be read back using a SPEAK TEXT event...
Since access to ADO compliant databases is achieved through the use of database drivers, I don't think it will connect directly to a .csv file. I don't see an option to select a file, only ODBC drives.
Hopefully that helps out a little.
Running IP Office 412 3.0(59), CCC 3.0 and Voicemail Pro 3.0(17) which is the latest and greatest. The problem we are experiencing (and experienced in 3.0(40)) is that changes do not activate after "Save and Make Live" has been selected in Voicemail Pro.
This seems to be after we make changes...
