It was definately a kernel bug. Oracle released a new kernel and it's resolved now. Thanks!

No it wasn't. It's repeatable. It completely broke Veritas Netbackup and caused it to core dump. The only other document I can find is here.

So have you done successful NDMP restores since this? Is it random/sporadic? Can you give me any logs to look at? Are you sure yu didn't modify anything with your SLP?
Hate to sound stupid....Is this client a Windows machine and that's C:\ drive or is it a NFS mount? The Linux master you're on my be reading the "\" as a quote. Can you change the name of the mount point you're exporting to exclude the colon and backslash and test the new one?
