Always when I press the button to open a document in an Office program (and also others) the standard folder is "My Documents". I never store files here, and so it only annoyes me. Can this be changed in some way?

I have several lines that cross each other defining a closed area. I'm having trouble simply filling this enclosed area with a color, it only colors the lines that make up the area. Does this area need to be defined some other way?

It was to save the graphs as eps instead, save the text and equations as pdf, then save the pdf as eps again in Acrobat, and finally open both eps files in Illustrator and combine them there. Clockwork...

I want a simple thing really; I have my marker at a specific location at which I would like to add a tab for the lines that will come below. But how? I can't seem to find the distance to the marker from the left edge, and if I just press the ruler to add one it won't be accurate enough.
