I see it works fine with most files, but not this particular one. Does this work like WinAmp etc, where the program needs the right codecs installed? If so, how should I install them?
I'm totally new to this program. What I want to do is cut out a sequence of an avi file and then save this cut as another file in whatever format. I found out how to bring in the source file, but when I bring it down to the timeline, it only brings down the video part, there is noe audio...
I've got a curved line imported into Illustrator, consisting of several small vectors. No matter what I do I'm not able to seperate these vectors. No chance to ungroup, no clipping mask, no compound path. In the layers overview the whole line shows up as a "path", but there's no way I can select...
I have a symbol which font size I would like to change. I've found that when I select it and change the size, the lower left corner stays in the same place, and the symbol's size is changed in reference to this fixed point. Is there any way to change the position of this reference point so that...
I have a sheet in Excel that contains an equation which requires me to use the 'Goal seek' function everytime it needs solving. Is there a way to automate this so that the iteration process takes place automatically everytime a value associated with the equation is changed?
Always when I press the button to open a document in an Office program (and also others) the standard folder is "My Documents". I never store files here, and so it only annoyes me. Can this be changed in some way?
I have several lines that cross each other defining a closed area. I'm having trouble simply filling this enclosed area with a color, it only colors the lines that make up the area. Does this area need to be defined some other way?
It was to save the graphs as eps instead, save the text and equations as pdf, then save the pdf as eps again in Acrobat, and finally open both eps files in Illustrator and combine them there. Clockwork...
I want a simple thing really; I have my marker at a specific location at which I would like to add a tab for the lines that will come below. But how? I can't seem to find the distance to the marker from the left edge, and if I just press the ruler to add one it won't be accurate enough.
Here is the deal; I'm making a document that is to consist of text, graphs and equations. Word manages both the text and the equations, but the graphs are in pdf, which Word can't insert. Now, I thought I could make a pdf of the text and equations, open it in Illustrator, insert the graph there...
Hmm...I'm new to Illustrator so I know I'm asking alot of questions here, just bear with me. Anyway, I was trying to open a pdf in Illustrator made from Word. It worked, but some objects here and there apparently were not recognized, and were replaced by question marks. The pdf opened perfectly...
I'm noticing something that is a bit annoying. When I write a document in Word, convert it to PDF, and then open it in Illustrator, text that initially was 10pt is now suddenly 10.02pt. Now I'm not saying that anyone can notice it, but I still wonder why this happens, and if it can be fixed?
I am able to draw the ellipse as such, but I can't figure out how to adjust its "ellipticness" once it's drawn without ruining the elliptic shape. Anyone?
