I've got a curved line imported into Illustrator, consisting of several small vectors. No matter what I do I'm not able to seperate these vectors. No chance to ungroup, no clipping mask, no compound path. In the layers overview the whole line shows up as a "path", but there's no way I can select the line segments individually. Help!

do you know where this curved line has been exported from, is it an eps you have imported?

Yes, it's from Mathematica 5. It's a graph.

...if you are using illustrator CS or cs 2, try selecting the line and the got to:

object > expand

or

object > expand appearance

...see if the will break it up into pieces...

...the problem is the math 5 application export and import into illustrator, illustrator doesn't understand it as an illustrator drawn item...
