We have recently had to decommision a number of old machines with Action Pack licences for Office Pro and XP Pro on them. Now to avoid having to pay for new licences i would like to move licences from the now decommsioned PC's to the new PC's. I can get any info from Microsoft on how to do this...

I have had to truncate quite a few databese recently, but they have always been db's that were updated once a day, from live data. Our live web database log needs truncating (Current size 650MB, Space used 46MB) are there any issues at all with truncating live data? Or can i go ahead as usual...

Why not simply do a full db backup then under db properties, set the recovery model to simple instead of full.

Additional info I know the BACKUP DATABASE statement can be used to assist in the truncation of log files, however i do not have any space on out Hard Drives in which to backup the database to. Which presents a problem
