We have recently had to decommision a number of old machines with Action Pack licences for Office Pro and XP Pro on them. Now to avoid having to pay for new licences i would like to move licences from the now decommsioned PC's to the new PC's.
I can get any info from Microsoft on how to do this...
Like all growing networks we have recently become inendated with Spam. Can anyone recomend an easy to configure/auto update filter?
Preferably for free, but if not, a free trial program would be great while i convince the bean counters its what we need.
Thanks
I have had to truncate quite a few databese recently, but they have always been db's that were updated once a day, from live data.
Our live web database log needs truncating (Current size 650MB, Space used 46MB)
are there any issues at all with truncating live data?
Or can i go ahead as usual...
Thanks NoCoolHandle, i think you are right about a seperate table of just clientnames. That would certainly produce faster results, as our hits table, as you say is getting huge!
Thanks for the tips!

Additional info
I know the BACKUP DATABASE statement can be used to assist in the truncation of log files, however i do not have any space on out Hard Drives in which to backup the database to.
Which presents a problem
I am having a slight problem with our webserver. I have inherited a database whose initial configuration was for unrestricted growth.
This has resulted in a ldf file of over 9GB and a mdf of around 5GB.
This filled our HD space and caused our site to go down for a few minutes

As stated, i am sure i have done this before, but i seem to be having a mental block.
I want a developer to have full admin rights to our dev-server and just that server, how do i do it?
Its not in manage my computer, so where is it?
Sorry about the basic question!
I was badly advised to re-install a program, which copied over a .dat file. I have tried system restore but that hasnt rolled back the file to the previous version. Will this file be somewhere on the disk (hidden from XP)?
Is there any program i can use to find this file?
Thanks
