we had a major alarm on one of port network which is notified to us by avaya,we cannot see it when we use 'display alarms' and 'display errors'.
The port network went out of service momentarily. we need
to find out what made it out of service.

the phones are getting ip address but not able to download

as a short term solution we need to manually configure the phones...what are steps to configure phones manually?

as far as i know phones try to get ip address upon bootup
from dhcp server and wondering if we delete option 176
....from where the phone get their ip address?
please give me more detail....

are up respectively.
so do we need to add another clan?

i checked in maint alarms guide..it means no resources available for signalling.
how do we determine if we are out of resources...
any commands? what do we do to resolve this?

the phones are 9620 and they get their IP address and
download setings file but they stuck at "discover xx.xx.xx.xx". they are unable to register to clan.
DHCP and tftp are setup correctly.
any troubleshooting commands recommended? iknow list trace.. and ping. any other...
