Personally, I never trust what the Telco tells me. I install a caller ID box before the system to make sure I'm getting it...

Is your software "Restricted" or "SP"? Restricted means you can have up to 4 lines & 8 extensions. SP means you have 8 Lines & 16 extensions... It's written on the card... However, There also could be added key codes that have been already added...

1st problem sounds ,like you didn't program Supervision for those added lines. 3rd problem might be that line(s) were set to Pulse, not Tone...

It would be much better to use a DR5, DR5-DS or DR5.1. You won't be able to transer a call on DR1, and you can have CLID with the others...

You might want to try "Refurb Supplies" in Maine if they still exist. I heard that they were bought out by Sandman but might still exist. In they hayday, if they didn't have the part you needed, they would get it manufactured special for you.

Are you sure that you saved the Tree after making the changes? If not, look for tree #5 which acts like a "Draft". If you find Tree 5, save it as Tree #1. If you've done the above and still have problems, the Tree #1 may be defective. Remake the changes then save the Tree as Tree #2...

I agree that I hate this new format....and hate getting these emails for every forum...

I believe all sets can have caller ID with 5.1

I had a client who wanted to, or should I say needed to record all calls in & out & who made or took the call. I installed a "Call Tracker 8" on their system and everything went to one of their PC's. Works well.

UPDATE: I loaded the software onto another KSU and it works fine (8x16)

OK, more info. I can't give you the sp code as I've loaded another s/w card into the CICS. However, the card in question was rewmoved from a working CICS last month that was 8x16 when I upgraded their CICS to 6.1 as that client needed off premise transfer.

Tried to load a CICS with a NT7B64CM STND 4.12. It's marked mas Standard and according to my Norstar parts list it should be Standard for 16 sets. Yet it only has 8 extensions with the IATA on ext 229 & not 16 extentions with the IATA on ext 237. What's going on?

Can't be done. Best you can do is have the light flash BUT you must have T7316er telephone AND at least 6.1 software.

SOLVED. Client had added the mailboxes, but neglected to program CFB & CFNA. Yet another case of "Don't believe the client"...
