and last but surely not least ...
Make a BACKUP of your pbl files before you do any migration: it might be usefull and enable you do re-do a migration if something goes wrong, especially when migrating to version 10. (for migration to 12.5 probably almost everything will work fine).

No need to say that if you want to be 'legal' you'd have to download the demo-version of pb 12.5
If you have any problem doing the migration, just ask.

Ok so if you have PBL files, then you don't need a decompiler, you simply need pb 6.5.
(Sorry that the link is a fake, as suspected.)
Personally I've only got version 5, and 10. I used to have 6.5 also, but now I only found some patches.
If you don't have PB 6.5, then I don't know if it would...
for obtaining powerbuilder 6.5 I've found this (but you need a Usenet account and don't know if it'll be really there):
http://www.usenetquest.com/w5c/files.php?q=Powerbuilder%206.5
I'll try later ... or maybe someone else got a copy.
(try also do the same question on "powerobject yahoo"...
I don't understand completely what you mean.
You need PB 6.5? or you have an application written in 6.5 and you don't have the source (pbL) files, but do have pbD files with an exe?
if you need to decompile pb 6.5 pbD files, that can be done using pbKiller. I think I have a copy somewhere and...
The fact that your library is occupying space, does not necessarily mean there's an object in it.
Powerbuilder 11, does not automatically decrease the size of your library when deleting objects: that's where the 'optimize' does its work.
"Optimize" also checks for 'lost' objects in a pbl...
No there's no setting, it should simply work.
1) Maybe there really is no object at all in the pbl?
2) maybe the pbl is "corrupt". Try to do an 'optimize' using right-mouse button from the library painter.
You can simply copy any object to that library or create a 'dummy' new one (simply...
so I guess you must have some kind of link in some kind of control that links to a file no longer present.

What is this "link" is it some kind of control you have in a window or userobject?
If so, try to 'edit source', copy the code and paste...
.DNG file? Might it be possible your application is working with CAD-files?
Then if so it might (be trying to) use a OCX control to manipulate that kind of files, since I believe powerbuilder doesn't support them without ocx.

>> If I click open source, I have message Sybase PowerBuilder 10.5 has encountered a problem and needs to close.
What kind (type) of object is it?
Is it inherited?
Can you edit the source, copy it and paste it here in a message?

Miguel L.
So the problem might be in something present or wrong in/with the pbw file on which "you are doing a double-click to open powerbuilder"?
Try to open another pbw file if you have, see if that works.
Then (if you have the problem opening a workspace doing a double-click on it from windows...
