I think I must have an older version as I dom't see 'block message reception'.
If i set up an announcement, will the phone still ring, and only go to annoucement on no answer, or will it just go straight to the anouncement?

I want to change a user's voice mail set up to stop callers being able to leave messages, but I still want to be able to record a personal greeting.
I thought I could do this by changing COS to 'personal' and changing some of the settings. But I can't see any settings that will stop...

I have an opt 11 runing version 20 release 19.
I want to be able to change the set up of the voice mail for all extensions(500) - so the staff can leave a greting - but with no facility for callers to leave a message.
Is this possible? And if so how would I set it up?

I set up a direct dial extension using what I thought was a spare number and all seemed to be ok.........
But........ if you dial it internally it works fine, but if you try to dial it externally - you are put through to the meridian mail system to retrieve messages.

one of our attendant consoles (m2250) has 'started' to display a diffrent name as opposed to the normal 'console 2' when they call digital sets.
Not sure how this has happened - but how to I check and change it back??

i want to be able to test access to voice mail at a remote site. To do this I need to be able to dial in and access the voice mail on extensions from an external number not an extension. Most of our other sites have this facility, but they were set up by someone else, and I'm not sure how...

If I want to assign one of the DD numbers to the voicemail ext (7000) how would I do that - and would that allow me to access the voice mail by dialing in externally from another site?
I can't find what the problem is:( i will try deleting the mail box and re creating it......... might help
Also I cant figure out how the DD numbers are 'tied' to the internal extension numbers as on this site all the DD are diffrent from the internal extensions (not sure why)
