Hello itsp1965, Thanks for pointing me in right direction. It turned out that culprit was Veritas continous protection server service. As soon as I removed it the server is now working normally. I now have a case with veritas where they will look into it. Thanks a bunch

I also noticed that when I try to install advanced client from SMS console, there is no CCMsetup folder created in the system32 directory on the target machine. I have checked the client installation method, it is advanced and the account that I have specified is a domain admin. Komando
