This is what led to my urlmon.dll corruption. When my machine is on, no matter what I move/wiggle in the back of the machine: monitor connection, speaker connection, wi-fi card antenna, the machine powers off. I figure maybe a screw or something on or under the mb. Any suggestions.
Tony, the in-place install worked like a charm....only took a few minutes; no other dlls were corrupt. I was so happy. If I had known about that I would have done it a long time ago anyway. Thanks again.
Thanks for responding Rob. I was able to get to command prompt but I cannot get into safe mode. That did not work. Last known config did not work. Recover option off XP CD did nothing. Anything else, other than reinstalling OS?

Come on dude, that goes without saying. Of course, all documents are not that simple. But one would not do that with a 50-page formatted document. Thanks anyway.
Yeah I'll explain further. If you know what metadata is, and why one would want it removed and if you read the string it is quite clear what I am asking.
