    Intel Motherboard Ram Compatibility Issue

Well, I started out with an Abit IS-10 mobo and it uses the Intel 865 chipset but there were compatibility issues with the Raid controller card so it is specific mobos you have to look at and not just the chipset. Thanks for the inputs everyone.

Alienware Area51m laptop, Original case Issues

I purchased an Alienware 51m about a year ago and was wondering if there were others out there with the same issues. The latch that keeps the case closed broke off because it is cheap plastic unlike others that are metal. The floppy drive has a hard time ejecting the disks, the ctrl keys do...

Turning a PC "ON" via keyboard power switch....

One option you have it to set up the computer's power source to turn off when the vehicle turns off. A little hard on the PC but an option. To make it easier on the PC might want to look into an UPS and set it up to power down when it loses power, that way it would shut down soft. You setting...

    Intel Motherboard Ram Compatibility Issue

I checked the Intel site and the memory is not listed. I am going to get some Crucial RAM and see if that fixes the problem. Crucial lists that it is guaranteed compatible but intel does not list it on their site. Intel's list is only ones they have tested so APacer might not have been tested...

    Identifying a USB 2.0 port

Yes it is WinXP SP1 that gives v2.0 support, mobo manual best place to check for USB version unless of course the USB ports are on the case itself.

NEW HOMEMADE PC FREEZES ON BOOT-UP

If you bought the motherboard, ram and cpu locally then I would recommend bringing them in so they can test them, sounds like one of them is faulty. Tough to say which is the bad component when it is locking up so early.

NEW HOMEMADE PC FREEZES ON BOOT-UP

Since it is locking up so early there are only a couple things that it could be. Motherboard or ram. The ram shows up on the mobo compatibility so the problem is either a bad stick of ram or a bad motherboard. Does it lock up in the same exact spot every time? If so I would look at the...

    Intel Motherboard Ram Compatibility Issue

Is there a problem with Intel motherboards, specifically the Intel 865GBFL, and APacer Ram. I am trying to use Hyperthreading and getting lock-ups. The Ram is ddr 400 2 sticks of 256MB. When I do a ram test, Memtest86, everything checks out fine. I think it might have something to do with...
