    Could be a manufacturing fault with the speaker. If under warranty, ask for a replacement.

    Check the LLDP results for the switch. The phone should be sending info including the MAC address via LLDP.

    I just checked. Looks like Avaya discontinued the J129 in June 2021 but then introduced a new model in Dec 2023.

    The J129 has also been discontinued by Avaya. Move to the J139 which at least is still sold and a much better model.

    Check the admin manual. You definitely would be able to upload via a 46xxsettings.txt file and MAY be able to upload via the web interface.

    Avaya still sells the SIP B199. If you are in Europe, you can probably buy analog/DECT models directly from Konftel.

    B series are not rebranded Polycom. They are co-developed by Konftel which was acquired by Avaya in 2011.

    Whenever you migrate to SIP extensions, you can have up to 10 devices/clients using the same number.

    There is only one version of firmware. The mode of operation (IPO, Aura, ACO, 3rd party) is determined by configuration parameters. The “3PCC” hardware cannot be configured to work on Aura/IPO. The non-3PCC hardware can be configured for all modes.

    Make only the required changes and place in a 46xxspecials.txt. You never want to replace the auto-generated 46xxsettings.txt.

    The firmware is the same. Whether it operates in CCMS mode (full features) or in basic SIP mode depends upon configuration parameters which it gets in the 46xxsettings.txt file.
