Need a solid book on Vista running on MS Networks and getting Vista to cooperate with apps to reduce end user input.
Same goes for a book on Win2003 and Exchange 2003.
Are the MS press books really any better or just reformatted/reworded knowledge base articles?

My older PC PIII500 192 RAM (Win2k with only task mgr running) is being pegged by the services.exe running around the upper 90's % and has my PC crawling for about 5 minutes.

I created a floppy boot disk on a Vista Home Prem with the gui and another with cmd line (format /s). Both create the same error.
"Command line interpreter is missing (i.e. c:\windows\command.com)"

I'm Physciallly disconnect from the DC but still a member. Do I only need to disassociate from the DC when disconnected to break policy? I can easily re-associate when I get back to the office.

On a windows box I'm playing with using a hosts file for a second layer for anti-spyware using one of the publicly available hosts file for it.
Now it work fine as a second line of defense for that.

Solution was to enable circular log setting in Exch Sys Mgr and then restart the "MS Exchange Information Store" Service.
I've gone from 14.x GB to 65 MB of exchange logs that were kept in the program files/exchsrvr/mdbdata/*.log
My DC can now breath. I have Win2003 whcih has circular logs off...
