You may have a loop in your network that is bringing the switch CPU to it's knees. You could probably connect a laptop to any of the switch ports and run WireShark to see if there are any loops/broadcast storms.

You need to either configure the phone through the handset (WLAN ESSID, Security, etc) or you need to connect the handset via USB to a PC and use the Handset Administrator. It sounds like you've completely skipped configuring the handset with the necessary WLAN information. Good Luck!

I don't believe the 470 is EoL... it's certainly not EoS.

It looks like v3.7.3 was pulled from Nortel's website. You'll need a support contract in order to download any of the currently available releases. I would stick with 3.7.2 although I'll need to inquire as to what happened with 3.7.3 Cheers!

I believe the latest version of software for the ERS 4500 series now supports ADAC but not sure about the ERS 2500 series. You definitely need the ports configured as untagPvidOnly of the PC won't know what to-do with the 802.1q tagged frames. You didn't mention if you are trying to use LLDP-MED...

There was a bulletin posted to Nortel's website concerning a port bouncing issue that was resolved in 5.0.1.0 software. I believe they are still working on the lane lockup issue but are hopefully to have it resolved in 5.1.0.0 software...
