Hi,

I'm trying to set sntp on a 5530 cause my syslog server tells UTC hour but i want to read my syslog and see my local time.
How i set -3 utc in 5530?

Thanx

Here's how to set the parameters from the CLI interface;

clock time-zone EST -5
clock summer-time EDT date 8 Mar 2009 2:00 1 Nov 2009 2:00 +60

You can just change the parameters to match your timezone.

Cheers!

Thanx for your reply.
I dont have this command.
I´m running 5.1.3 version.

See ya

Hmmm... if you are running 5.1.3 software you should have that feature in the software. Where you at the config prompt?

5530>
5530> enable
5530# configure terminal
5530(config)# clock time-zone EST -5
5530(config)# clock summer-time EDT date 8 Mar 2009 2:00 1 Nov 2009 2:00 +60

Good Luck!

Sorry,

I'm wrong!

I'm using v5.0.9.027

Here is what i have for the command clock:

5530(config)#clock ?
Global RTC configuration subcommands
set Configure Real Time Clock
source Configure time source
sync-rtc-with-sntp Configure sync RTC with SNTP status

Do you think the version i'm running is the problem?

Thanx a lot!

Yes, the feature is not available in 5.0 only in 5.1 and beyond.

Cheers!

Thanx a lot for your reply!

I tried to install 6.0.3.009s but it didn't work!

I think i have to install the 6.0.0 first.
