Can I password protect my phone

If no one is logged into the phone, can the 1st 3 buttons still be treated as part of the inbound main DID call group ? I am somewhat familiar with hot desking, but I recall that the phone was inactive if no one was logged in.

OT: Did anyone bookmark the Shoretel thread

I for the love of god....am having trouble finding the thread. I was interested in catching up where I left on on the pro/cons of the Shoretel system.

Can I password protect my phone

I may share space with another company . Just short of calling codes from the telco carrier on the lines, does the IPO allow me to do a login that automatically *locks* the phone after x amount of time. Inbound calls I can pick up any time, but for outbound, it would require a log-in of some...

Is there any apps for IPO that have click2call

Actually it's more of a applet that allows you to click on *any phone number* that it sees in a email signature, webpage, etc and it would call it via the handset ? My blackberry has this *feature*. It's pretty slick in that if I am reading and email, and there is a phone number in the email...

4412+ Sound Quality better than 4621SW

I got a chance to use a 4412 on a IPO 403. The sound quality of the 4412 was what I expected - clean clear sound. Nothing unlike the 4621 I used all day yesterday. http://www.tek-tips.com/viewthread.cfm?qid=1306724&page=3 Is IP phones truely that much of a difference from a SQ perspective ? I...

Is there a Voice/Sound Quality Difference between IP vs Digital Handse

Have you done a TCO between going digital systems vs. Pure IP. Cost of cabling versus costs of keeping a managed network for the IP phone systems. Take all these into consideration as each has it's own pros and cons. Just short of material being a slight upcharge, if you end up pulling cable...

Is there a Voice/Sound Quality Difference between IP vs Digital Handse

I am not sure on the whole SE/Covad relationship. I thought SE has their own pops, etc. I have read blurbs awhile back where their T1 service is frame relay over DSL. For data traffic, I am a big proponent on the usual big dogs like Spring, Global Crossings, MCI (verizon business - NOT...

My impressions on a 4621IP .....feedback on IP phone

I've been helping someone setup their network and just got a chance to play with a 4621SW phone . I've been considering a IPO and impressed with the flexibilty and features and managebility. The network itself is all C6 wiring, going into a Cisco Layer 3 Gigabit switch vlaned and QOS. The 4621...
