I am trying to add some 7020 phones to some unused ports on a D1232 with. I only get dead air on the hand sets, you can dial numbers, but no other buttons work. I have checked the wiring and everything looks ok..I have both pairs hooked up and polarity correct. Any ideas on what I am missing?
Just a thought.. The easiest solution there might be to just use sip phones for your friend, like one of the linksys spa phones. That way you could create custom dial plans in those phones to only allow exact matches to be dialed.

Ok what would be the best way to have the reception phones all ring and have anyone else be able to see and answer those calls? Is there anyway they could see who is calling without picking it up (like feature 811)?
Is there any way have a line (SLA) appear on a phone, similar to "appear only" on the Norstar? Want it flash but not ring and be able to press the button to answer. A bonus would to be able to see caller ID before answering ;o
Sorry - should have been more specific, I mean when the conference is initiated from the phone by pressing Conference and then Join.
Also, a single conference with two outside parties ends up using 3 SLA keys, is there a way to change that?
Actually I've had good luck with fax / modem calls using the Obi100 with Google Voice. I've never tried using it with RAD, but I have used it for other data calls and many faxes and never has one failed
