Off primise transfer thru call pilot???

I am installing a new MICS system with a call iplote 150. The lastest versions.

My custoemr is a large Doctors office. They want the AA to answer the calls. In main menu give option to reach answering service dial _______. I realize I can set of a extension to call forward to an outside number. but can I forward a mailbox to an out side phone number.

Any thought or suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

You can do external transfer thru the CCR tree.

You can do an external transfer from a mailbox. Once you have it set up you tell callers to dial 7 to be transferred to the offsite number. Follow the tutorial in mailbox administration.

For the Drs. office, the best plan would be to use external transfer on a CCR tree. It would be immediate. "For our answering service, plz, press 1". Then in 3 to 5 seconds they would hear ring back.

Example-
Grtg 1= "Thank you for calling Dr. Smith."
CCR 1 Path 0=
"...For ans service press 1...."
CCR 1 Path 1= Transfer, external, Pool 1, phone #.

Assign CCR 1 to your Table, make sure you've got lines assigned to Pool A.

? My extensions are in the 200 and 300 hundred range. If I set up a CCR tree I cannot give them the options that follow. If I do not set up a press 2 or 3 in the CCR tree can I dial an extension during greeting.

You can still use options 2 and 3, the system waits after the number is pressed to see if a full DN is dialed.

I think he's saying it's an incomplete tree, with only one path. Build path 2 as internal transfer to your receptionist. You don't have to voice that option in your recording, and it doesn't hurt to have it there.
