Tried Undelete but it is not FREE or am I missing something?

By mistake I deleted a folder from my USB Flash drive and the folder contained a lot of Word and Excel files that I need. I use Windows XP and Office 2003. Would appreciate if someone can advise any way I can recover these deleted files.

I think you actually have solved the problem as when I check the 'Hide file extensions for known file types' then no longer have to add extensions.

I looked at the settings you mention above but the option 'Hide file extensions for known file types'has not been checked. Please let me know if you have any other ideas.
