Does anyone know a fix for an 1140 which no longer comes up with anything on the display.

On boot it just lights up. You can use the keypad to reboot etc and it does appear to prompt for Node and TN with the flashing Red VM light.

All that happens on the screen however is it lights up blue. No text is displayed.

I've tried the factory reset to no avail.

Thanks for any assistance.

looks like the firmware is toast....

when you say factory default, is this what you tried?

Yup Triton101 , that is what I tried.

We have a number (50+) of phones with various faults, so I am shifting through and seeing if I can repair any.

Cheers all.

If the software is somehow corrupted, you may be able to recover it as follows:
1. Configure an ftp server with the correct 1140e.cfg file and the software which you want to install.
2. Remove power from the phone. Simultaneously hold the "up" and "2" button and apply power. This should get you into a text-based recovery menu where you will be able to configure the phone to point to the ftp server and retrieve a new version of the software.

Thanks gwebster, tried that one and still no go. Looks like the display is toast.

Cheers for the advice.
