So here is the deal.

Our Web Dev are a group of interns that work and live on our campus, so their workstation is used for business and personal purposes. Keep this in mind.

During the business day, our interns consistently get calls (personal and business) which lower productivity. Therefore, during their business hours, I need to send all calls coming to their extension to a menu that they can then choose a couple of options from. If they choose the option to leave a message for the intern then it goes back to the interns audix account.

The issue is this, I only want it to follow this vector program if it is during their business hours. Outside, of their business hours, it needs to route straight to their extension, bypassing any kind of vector routing. This is what I have not been able to figure out. How can I get the calls to go back and ring their phone line if it is outside of business hours?

I have figured out how to get the initial call to the menu but bypassing the vector routing or its equivalent has been difficult. Anyone have any advice on how to do this?

Calls come in on trunk x

Change incomming digit treatment for trunk x and delete dnis. Insert new dnis which sends the call to a vdn

in vdn use time of day routing to specify where to send the calls durring the different times of day.

How would this affect calls that are based within the PBX? Most of these calls are Extension to Extension within the PBX.

Thanks for your help simreal.

You right I missed that.

Well if you have internal calls to deal with you'll have to change their numbers and add vdns as the extension you move them from.

Then the vectors can route the calls to the new numbers.

you could also simply send their calls to cover durring the day. Of is the problem that they answer the calls willingly?

There isn't a mechanisim to dynamicly route the calls until you get them into a vdn/vector.

Change their extensions to non-DID numbers, then take their DID numbers and make them VDNs.

Use time of day routing in the vectors. If the call is outside of normal business hours, goto step x and route the call to the non-DID number.

then can I change what extensions show up on their phone when they call to another extension here? I want to make sure that when they call out to an extension within the PBX or an external number that their original DID stays the same.

For internal calls:
Give them a unique COS.
Change the new COS and set "Data Privacy" to Y.
This will display the information in the "Room" field instead of the extension for internal calls.

For external calls:
Use the "cha public-unknown" command.

It is still coming up with the extension even though I am restricting on the COS and on the Station itself.

Also, the change ISDN Pub command worked great for external calls.

I'm sorry, I was looking at something else when I wrote my response..... it's not Data Privacy on the COS, it's Client Room.

Ok. That is getting me closer. But it is still showing the desk's extension when I call another station. Any thoughts?

It shouldn't - can you paste pages 1, 2, and 3 of the station that you are calling from?

in your call vector set up a time of day...

goto step x if time-of-day is mon x:xx to mon x:xx

rinse repeat.

Here is how I have the agent setup. Any help you can provide on how to conceal the extension from the caller would be appreciated.

questons:
1. Are you trying to hide the station extension or the agent logon ID? In your post above, you state that this is your agent setup but it is a station.

2. Does the station have a port address? The example you show above is an x-port station.

Here is our setup for our call center - we hide both the extension and the logon ID:
