So we built the IP trunks in between 2 of our sites. All appears to work fine with the routing but I have just found out that one fo the requirements is for the ANI of the original caller to carry through should that call be transferred across the IP trunks to the other site.
They are H3.23 IP trunks set up as TIE lines. ANy help?

I could never get this to work. I spend a month trying with no luck. I spoke with Avaya and so did my BP and they said it wouldn't work. When you complete the transfer you will see the trunk name and thats it. If for some reason you can get this to work please let me know as I would like to have this.

I to have tried to get it to work... I could only get ani delivered if the call had not been answered first. Once answered and transfered = no ani... route first = ani

Thanks,

Well we did get it to work. We have a VDN going to a vector that does a route to step. for example route to number 412345 with cov n unconditionally. in this example 4 is our AAR access code that sends the call do teh VDN 12345 in the secondary side via our IP trunks.

The changes we had to make to get it to work was to change the TG and SIg Grp to Qsig and we inserted a "wait 1 sec heairng ringback" at the top of the vector. This combination worked and we were able have the call answered in Site A(callers ANI present) then transferred to a local VDN that routes to a vector as described above that does the site to site transfer for the agent. Then the agent in the site B also recieved the original callers ANI. If you need I can post some configs just let me know what you want to see.
