What is the setting for 'Attendant Vectoring' in the VDN form and Vector form used for? I do auto attendants in vectors but I dont have this setting to 'Y'.

DarthSkywalker,

attendant vectoring is for live attendants, not automated ones. it allows you to enhance attendant call processing over standard 'route to attendant' behaviour.

I have this set up and when I push zero from a person's mail box, its routed to a vdn that ring a vector set up with attendant queueing. When I push zero, it goes into music on hold forever. What could the problem be?

I also use it for night service. When the live attendant pushes night the Att Vector takes over and provides the caller options for out of hours.

Hope this helps

1a2 to ip I seen it all

I use it to split calls between three resource centers.. having a total of 6 operators ( 2 at each location ) we publish one number and send calls via trunk lines between three locations... all methods listed above are valid uses of the attendant vectoring.. basicly attendant vectoring allows you to place a call that is seeking the " attendant " into a vector processing control.. as opposed to coverage path treatment ( traditional ). One thing to remember is that Attendant Vectoring takes precedence over all local attendant codes that you administer.

Hope this helps.
