Hi!

Can anyone tell me where the webpage insertion below is coming from?

<!-- ZoneLabs Popup Blocking Insertion -->
<script language='javascript'>postamble();</script>

I don't have Zone Alarm. I did have EZ Firewall installed but when I saw this insertion on a webpage that I visited, I unistalled the program to try to get it to stop. I designed the web page I was visiting and that insertion doesn't show on my computer at work.

I've turned off the firewall that Windows XP has but the ZoneLabs still shows up on web pages. I've searched all of Internet Explorers Internet Options and tried to change the settings but I just can't get ZoneLabs to stop controlling the pages I visit.

I've searched the internet but I can't find anything that really addresses this issue. In my case it seems to be blocking image links that open a new page and take the visitor away from the current domain they are on. It blocks the images from being shown at all. When I view the source code it shows the link but no image source.

So basically....HELP!! I don't like it and can't find the solution.

Thanks in advance,
Cindy

not sure what you are asking but - if you designed the webpage and you did not include this script, then someone changed your source code. does anyone else have access to it?

is the webpage on a "free" host? if so they may have the option of adding ads, banners, & other "goodies" to get others to visit their paying advertisers.

Those lines of script are only getting added to webpages on my home computer. It has happened on other webpages that I've gone to but thought their coders put it there, but when I saw it on one that I designed then I knew it was my computer. The text doesn't show up on my computer at work or any of my coworker's computers. It's something on my computer that is controlling what content it's allowing into my computer for my "safety" I'm sure.

and you do not or previously did not have ZA?

because this is a privacy setting for webpages within ZA.

search you PC for refereneces to ZA.

I have the exact same problem and I would like to find out what's causing it.

I too started getting this popup. I never got it before. I do use Zonelabs and so I went into 'prefrences' and set the updates to 'manual' and now I don't get the popups. I would rather have the auto updates, but don't want the popups.

I have set updates to manual, it didn't make any difference. I had to turn ad blocking completely off.
