Zfd4 NW6 8600 Router Middle Tier Server Problem

After importing my workstation into inventory, I wanted to test if the actions worked. (I have no problem with the action features -like remote control and pxe imaging- in another building.)
I keep getting an "Error 1456: The agent failed to read information from the eDirectory server. Verify that the workstation object is valid and the Middle Tier server is up and running."

I was under the impression a middle tier server is only needed if accessing the network from outside the WAN or via Web interface.

This is my first experience with zdf4 and I need this feature and touchless imaging to work because of the amount of workstation and building our company has. I've been able to succeed in the main building and this was my first attempt in a different building.

Any suggestions would be appreciated.

Even though the administrative user did not need to be added to the workstation properties in remote operators in the original test building, when added to the workstation properties as a remote user in this building all actions returned.
